Molly Fandrich-Yacko

I am an open champion dancer living in the Denver area. I've had the honor of dancing my solos at Regionals, North American Nationals and Worlds. In the summer and fall of 2006 I designed a dress to have made for the Western Region Oireachtas (See Dress #101 in the Designs Sold section). Due to injuries (recurring stress fracture in my left foot and a broken navicular in my right foot) I ended up sitting on my couch for 7 ½ months recuperating from a total of four surgeries.

Over dinner with my dance teacher (shout-out to Aisling Toal-Casey with Celtic Steps) she suggested that I try my hand at designing dresses for other Celtic Steps dancers. As I'm unaccustomed to sitting for long periods of time, I used my down time to start designing. After I finished 30 designs I showed them to Aisling and FY Designs was born. In no time I had our school's dressmaker booked well into January of 2008. I am now a small business with large aspirations of sharing my designs around the world.

I am ridiculously happily married to Adam and we share our home with two cats and a dog. During the day I am a Claims Analyst and Scheduler for URS Corporation.
